Unfortunately, no matter how good the installation of the roof, or the type of system, it will not last forever. There can be many reasons for the requirement of roofing repairs or refurbishment, but at least in part, in the majority of cases, the cause will be attributable to meteorological conditions – the weather.
Roof repair and refurbishment may come in the form of replacing the roof completely, stripping the membrane & replacing, over coating and patch repairs. This will usually depend on the affect and extent the weather has had on the roof.
All repairs will need to be assessed on site and a specification written on a case by case basis to determine if there are any underlying or conditional issues which are not obvious to inexperienced designers. In all cases, your requirement will be considered and we will make our recommendations based on all information available.
Some systems, especially coatings, are actually designed to require planned maintenance at set intervals after installation to fulfil the requirements of the warranty. This will be made clear at the specification stage.
