Types of Work Involved
- Groundwork & Civil Engineering
- Structural Engineering
Adamson Construction worked as a building contractor to install two large concrete bases for a gas and generator compound. The project included various ramps and access ways to comply with building regulations. The project included galvanised fencing, tarmac finishing, paviors and road markings.
The gas compound base had to be constructed with some of the existing concrete left in place. This meant the reinforcing layout was critical to ensure it was structurally sound. We involved a structural engineer to ensure the work calculated for all structural movement and loadings.
For the generator base, new clay paviors were obtained to match the existing and laid accordingly. This was successful and made the whole job aesthetically pleasing. The completed work was sound, looks good and has proved fully functional.
