The Project
Adamson Construction were contracted to lay a new concrete subfloor and install a new Flowcrete Mondeco finished floor as part of a factory extension project.
The floor had to be laid level but also tie in with adjoining areas with existing floors at
differing levels.
The new sub floor was formed using 150mm type one scalping’s, then reinforcement placed and prepared with two layers of 8mm mesh in 4.5m bays spanning the length of the area with dowels tying it into the adjoining area.
The concrete was hard troweled with a brush finish. When cured, concrete was primed and scattered and finally laid with Flowcrete Mondeco Earth epoxy resin flooring. This was ground with four grades of diamonds, grouted, reground and two coats of PU Matt floor sealer applied to provide the finish required to blend in with existing floors.
